We spent the day at Safari Park. It was such a nice day and not crowded. Plus Brandon got in for free since he is active duty military. It is so nice when companies recognize and honor the military in that way. It was a great 4th of July.

Breakfast at Snooze with the Lindz. Not too impressed with the service. Food and ambiance was good and the music was bomb. Just the service was crappy. Good thing he Lindz was there to make my morning a little more cheery.

Brandon got off work early today so we headed down to Mitch's for some fish tacos. They were delicious to say the least. The view wasn't bad either. :)

Happy 1st of July! Today we braved the San Diego County Fair. It only took us 1 1/2 hours to get there! :( But it was so much fun once we arrived. We ate fried cool-aid, fried avacados, a bacon wrapped hot dog and red velvet funnel cake. I want to throw up right now. We also played a bazillion games and won all these awesome stuffed animals that we totally needed...not! But Brandon is pretty stoked about his i-copter that he won. We ended the night riding the ferris wheel, where I became an instant baby and right when I was getting the hang out it, the ride was over. All in all, it was a great day. I am so grateful to have Brandon to share great days with.

Dinner at Okawa in Santee with Brandon, Aaron and Teyana. Okawa is sushi/hibachi grill. I was so surprised it wasn't crowded at all. It was entertaining and delicious.

Wow. What an experience I have had the past 2 weeks. I worked at a film camp for military kiddos who have autism. It was amazing. I loved going to work each day to help the kids write, film and edit their movie. The kids were so incredible. Everyday I was amazed at their energy, creativeness and intelligence. They are so smart! They also had me laughing all day long. They say the funniest things sometimes. This would be my perfect job, minus the schmoozy business. I thought I would be so happy when camp was over, but when the kids hugged me goodbye and the parents thanked me, I wasn't so sure that I wanted it to end. One parent gave me a picture frame that had a picture of her son and I in it. Her son Nick decorated the frame. I can't wait to have my own office someday, where I will proudly place that frame. She also wrote the sweetest note where she expressed her gratitude for the program. She stated that on the first day she drove away with tears of happiness because she saw her son be himself and have the opportunity to do what he loves. I am thankful to be a part of something that made someone so happy. The camp and the campers will have a special place in my heart.

We found a new vet that we love...but bad news...Brawley has fleas! We have him on Frontline but the vet says that fleas are starting to become immune to it! Awesome. So now I have to treat Brawley, the cats, the carpet and all our bedding. I just hope the new stuff works for Brawley. Poor little guy.

Real date night in Oceanside!!! The harbor is super cute. I almost felt like I was on vacation. I highly recommend going to visit the quaint, little harbor. We ate at The Lighthouse Oyster Bar, but they have other restaurants and shops there too!

I can't believe my Lindsey poo is getting married in 3 months. It seems like yesterday I had over a year to find a bridesmaids dress and now I just have a few short months left. Lindsey said to find a cute, grey, semi-casualish dress. I think I found the one! JK! :-P

We met the missionaries at The Mormon Battalion today in Old Town It has been conpletely re-done and it is so cool. Teyana said it was like a ride at Disneyland. We even got to pan for gold at the end of the tour!

Subbed at my favorite middle school today! It looks just like Hillsdale but brown and adobe-like. The school also has little squirrels running around and birds chirping all day long. It's still a nice school even though it's in the EC!

Thia is my friend Gabriella. We met at school and she also happens to be a Marine Corps spouse. We became very good friends over the past two years, despite being very opposite...she is type A, I am type not A. But it worked for us! Gabriella always had me laughing in class at the very assertive things she would say. She definitely has some cajones and I admire her ability to speak her mind. She also is one of the strongest and most ambitious military spouses I know and I truly appreciate that about her. I am highlighting Gabriella because today she moved away...to the great desert land of Edwards Air Force base. I will miss her a lot but hope to make a trip out to see her before we move. Here's to another military spouse friend moving away!

Spent the day trying to be productive. My current task is taking the 10 bins filled with notes/cards/memories from middle school and high school and consolidating them. It was fun to go down memory lane and reminisce about my carefree days. I think the best thing I read was a note from my friend that said, "I can't even look at your face without laughing, in a good way." It made me think that maybe I need to laugh a little more in my older days. Anyways, I turned 3 boxes into 1...just 7 more to go through!

This old plane has been a long standing joke between my mom and I. When we were moving many years ago, we came upon this plane. Neither one of us wanted it, so we started sneaking it into each other's lives. I had completely forgotten about this old plane until I opened my graduation gift from my mom...and there it was (with a little extra somethin'). Well played Mom!

Having a very difficult time picking out shoes for graduation tomorrow. Afterall, it's the only thing you see since my robe will be covering up my dress. There is a tie between shoes. Aaron, Brandon and Lindsey chose the same ones and my mom, Adrie and I picked another....Decisions, decisions. Adrie did say shoes are the last thing you put on, so I still have 10 hours to decide!
