We celebrated Brennan's 8th Birthday tonight. I can't believe he is so big! I asked him what he wanted to do on his auntie date, a birthday tradition. He said he wanted to go see the Three Stooges movie...so that is what we'll do when it comes out.

On a side note, my 13 year old nephew Noah is as tall as Brandon!!!

I was coming into my complex from a run (like a 5 minute run) when I saw the missionaries. I said hello and went on my way. I knew they were going to follow me and come on knock on my door. Thirty seconds later, I was right. I have been avoiding the missionaries for years now, after someone gave them my new address. But I decided to give these missionaries a chance. They were cute, nice, sweet missionaries. They reminded me of the time in my life when I was missionary-crazy. Back when I was 20, I knew what day transfers took place, asked my mom to have them over for dinner all the time and even thought I wanted to marry a few of 'em...well just one. Anyways, I talked to these new missionaries and Brandon met them and they asked if they could come back sometime and share a message with us. I didn't have an excuse on hand and they were really nice, so I said ok. And I am kinda happy about it.

I found a list of wishes that I wrote when I was 17 years old a few weeks ago. One of my wishes was to go to a movie theatre, pay for tickets, buy popcorn and not know any of the employees. Well my wish came true today! Although while I was there I wished that our tickets were free, popcorn was on the house and I could see some of my old co-workers. The movie was funny, but the Grossmont theatre is nasty. Edwards will always be my favorite!

Today really was the best day ever. The Lindz and I had a blast at Disneyland and California Adventure. We got on so many rides without a long wait, ate yummy treats and laughed til we cried. It was perfect! I love The Lindz so much.

It was such a nice day, so I attempted to take Brawley on a walk around the lake. But he stops to pee on and smell everything! It takes 10 min to walk 10 feet. But I would feel so guilty not taking him with me on a walk. I can't walk with him and I can't walk without him!

13 years ago today, my nephew Noah was born. He was the first to make me an aunt and my world has never been the same. Noah is very special and will always have a place in my heart. He is very smart, creative, funny and resilient. Even though he makes fun of me for driving a 2 door car and calls me a stalker, I still love him. I have been very blessed to live so close to my family and watch my nieces and nephews grow up. This is a picture of Noah and I on the day he born and then us 13 years later. I tried telling Noah about the day he was born and he wasn't too impressed...can you say teenager? ;) The whole family was there when he was born and Noah made us all so happy...and he still does. Happy Birthday Noah! I love you!

What a gorgeous day! Brandon and I headed to Ocean Beach to get some sun and enjoy the warmth. Brandon ended the day by getting a tattoo around his existing tattoo. His other tattoo was a drunken mistake (he thinks otherwise) so I was happy when he wanted to fix it. It still isn't my favorite but I have to admit his new tattoo makes his older, uglier tattoo look much better.

I have been having a really hard time the last few days...so my thoughtful husband brought me flowers to try to cheer me up. As soon as he walked through the door holding flowers he said, "Look who's the greatest husband in the world?" I told him the correct thing to say was, "I wanted to get you flowers since you've been so depresso lately. I hope these cheer you up. I love you and just want you to be happy." He will get it all right one day...he's close. Baby steps. At least he doesn't buy flowers at the grocery store anymore! We are making progress. :) Brandon is really sweet. I am lucky to have him.

I watched McKenna today and we hung out with my friend Hannah and her little girl Alonna. We headed to the beach and let the girls put their feetsies in the water. They were so cute! McKenna was fearless...she kept walking straight into the ocean, not scared of the waves or anything! It was nice to play on the beach and soak up the sun...and not be at work! One of the benefits of being in grad school and being a subsitute teacher...enjoying Thursdays at the beach!

Brandon and I got pedicures today! We had noticed that are feet were so rough when we rubbed them together, so we had to do something about it. I was really surprised Brandon was down for getting a pedi, but he was! Of course when I took this picture he made his toes look crazy (all spread apart) and then he tried to tell me that's how they always look. He called them Frankenstein feet. Weirdo.

Oh man. We climbed the "back side" of Cowles Mountain today. The trees and bushes were nice and shady but the straight up part near the top was almost too much for me. My awesome husband literally pulled me up the summit. We finally made and the view was worth it, as always. After climbing back down, we went straight to 7-11 for a giant Slurpee (healthy, I know) and then down to Golden Chopsticks in National City for some "crack chicken" ....which by the way is delicious. Now I am sore, tired, full and ready for bed!
