I have been a little obsessed with selling things on Craigslist lately. This cash has been hanging on the fridge for over a month now from selling my old roommate's piano keyboard (He left it and never came back for it!). I keep meaning to take the cash to the bank...but for now it makes a nice fridge accessory.

One of my all time favorite photos is of my sisters, Lyla and I in front of the Eiffel Tower. I can't believe it has been almost a year since our infamous sister trip to Paris. It was one of the best times in my life. We will be telling stories from that trip for many years to come. I love my sisters and Lyla and Paris!

Everyone needs a Big Hunka Love Bear! This awesome bear was my Valentine's Day present. I have no idea what we are going to do with Big Hunka Love Bear, but for now he will sit on our couch and be our pillow...and a great conversation starter for guests. Brandon is so funny.

February Photo Challenge Day 9: front door
This is the front door to Jamie's tropical suite for the weekend. She had a trip planned for Hawaii with her husband, but unfortunately it did not work out. So she came to San Diego to visit me...and maybe some other family members but most definitely me. Bummed about not going to Hawaii, I decided to turn her humble guest bedroom into paradise...well just the front door! I am so excited for our sisters weekend!

Today turned out to be a gorgeous and hotter than I expected day. I even got a little pink standing out on the playground this afternoon. The best thing about today is that I feel like a zillion times better. Seriously I am never taking feeling normal for granted again.

February Photo Challenge Day 7: button
I am kinda of tired of writing about my sickness, but it's the only thing I have been doing lately. I finally was able to see my doctor today and gave me some antibiotics and medicine to take the swelling in my throat/tonsils down. Well, while I was at the doctor's today my blood pressure was high! I've never had high blood pressure before ever. The nurse took it again right before I left and it was still high. So now I have to log my blood pressure every day for two weeks. I took my first one today while I was waiting for my prescriptions. The joys of growing old.

Still not being able to swallow without pain, I managed to slurp down my Jamba Juice and take some bites of mac n cheese, that my husband made with love for me (or so he said). I didn't get to the doctors today but I am looking forward to my appointment tomorrow. This pain has got to stop!

February Photo Challenge Day 5: 10am
At 10am today I was taking a hot shower. My tonsils, throat and I have not been getting a long the last few days. If fact, my throat and tonsils hate me. My tonsils grew to the size of golfballs, are almost touching, are super red and swollen and have even grown some white things on them! The pain is unbearable. I can't eat, drink or even just swallow without experiencing the most excruciating pain. And I have sleeping terribly...I wake up every few hours crying with pain (no joke). I have tried everything to make this pain go away. I have been to urgent care twice, where they pretty much have just given me pain killers (which didn't work) and told me it wasn't strep throat. I have gargled salt water, put an ice pack on my throat, put myself on an ibuprofen regimen, had Brandon spray Chloraseptic spray down my throat (and all over my face), drank tons of water, and took lots of hot, steamy showers. And guess what? Nothing has worked! My throat still hurts and it hurts bad. I asked Brandon to "put me down" but he said no. I have been such a little brat to him and he still wants me to live! I am going to see my real doctor tomorrow and hopefully she will be able to do something to stop this insane pain. I just hope I can make it through the night.

February Photo Challenge Day 4: a stranger
This is actually 2 strangers taking my couch away! I super sneaked this picture, as I'm sure you can tell. We realized that our couch was too big for our space and not functional enough, so we posted it on Craigslist with hopes that someone might be interested in paying a pretty penny for a used couch. To our surprise, someone was interested! Come to find out, our strangers have the same exact couch but theirs was falling apart and they really love the couch but didn't want to pay for brand new one...so they bought ours. We really did not think anyone would buy our couch for the price we were asking, so when the strangers said, "We'll take it" we were beside ourselves. They loaded the couch into their truck and were gone, so we took the money and went couch shopping!

February Challenge Day 2: Words
My favorite words today are urgent care, TriCare and Vicodin. My tonsils and throat suddenly caused me severe pain over night...so bad that I can't even swallow without wanting to cry. I took over the counter meds but nothing worked. But thanks to my handy dandy health insurance, I went to urgent care right after work. They determined it wasn't strep throat, but the pain was excruciating, so the doc gave me some generic vicodin to help with the pain. Thank goodness. I guess one perk of having a sore throat is having ice cream for dinner!
